Voice and Yoga

As a voice teacher for intermediate and advanced classical/operatic students, Ruth focuses on a vocal technique centered around the successful management of air pressure. Concepts like “open throat,” “breath support,” and “core sound” come to life in her teaching based on the mentorship of Carol Kirkpatrick. With a home studio in Denver, Ruth dedicates herself to helping select students truly, physically engage in the power of their own sound, allowing the mind the freedom to interpret texts and characters. Contact Ruth for more information about lessons and offerings.

Ruth is additionally a RYT 200 and continues to delve into the intimate realms of the mind-body-voice connection through yoga studies and teaching. She is trained in Anusara®, an alignment-based, heart-centered practice and is a Certified YogaVoice Teacher. Also certified in Yoga For All, Ruth is committed making yoga accessible for all bodies, abilities, and ages. YogaVoice® work offers an even deeper connection between bel canto vocal technique, breathing, chakras, alignment, and asana.
